New Vale City
Known as Dark City, but actually called New Vale City, this place has been abandoned...
A failure at the city's nuclear power plant left the land polluted with nuclear waste. Although no-one was directly killed, it was decided that the entire city was hanging under Damocles' sword and an evacuation took place. For twenty years the power plant has lain sealed in concrete - but all the while radiation has been leaking out, and now it will be impossible to settle in the area for a long, long time. The city is now inhabited by a violent, rebellious sub-culture, and although there is no power or real direct contact with the rest of the island, the people of Dark City manage to survive in their primitive way. The other cities have decided not to get involved in the internal politics of Dark City. They say it is best left to itself.
